What is the eligibility to register for the ACCA Qualification?
An applicant must have completed HSC (12th Standard) in India to apply for an ACCA Professional course. Further, it is important to complete 12th standard with 50% marks with 65% and above marks in English, Accounts or Math.
You can also join ACCA Foundations in Accountancy, if you do not meet the eligibility criteria. This means you will have to pass 4 additional papers before you become eligible for joining ACCA Professional course.
How many papers can I attempt per exam?
The students are allowed to attempt 4 papers per exam in every three months. This is the upper cap and you can however appear for less than 4 papers. Moreover, every year, a student can appear and pass a total of 8 papers only.
What is the duration of completing ACCA Course?
As per the ACCA norms, a student is allowed to complete an ACCA course, i.e. appear and pass in all 13 papers, in a maximum stretch of 10 years. Usually, it takes students 2-3 years to complete the entire course and achieve the ACCA qualification.
When and how are the ACCA exams conducted?
The primary 4 papers i.e. Applied Knowledge level and Law papers of ACCA can be conducted on demand at any time of the year. These exams are computer based.
From ACCA paper 5 and onwards, i.e. Applied Skills and Strategic Professional level the exam are conducted four times in a year in the first week of March, June, September, December.
What is the fee structure for ACCA Course?
On an average, pursuing an ACCA Course will cost you anywhere around 4-5 lakh in India. The cost will cover your fee and additional expenses for 2-3 years. The common expense head included under this amount are:
